Ever have that boy… That you just can’t get out of your head… You go over every word he’s spoken to you… You go every look… Every touch… And yet… You know he isn’t thinking of you… You try to convince yourself… That he likes you too… But in your heart… Deep in your heart… You know… You know for sure… He never thinks about you… Cause you’re just a little girl… To him anyway… Other boys are all the same… But you think he’s different… Unique… But he’s not… And it doesn’t matter… ‘Cause you’re never gonna know… You wish he would like you… But then you wouldn’t have this dream… Of all the things he could be… Of all the things he would do… Of all the things he would say… You wouldn’t have that illusion… Of what he isn't. Sadness, like happiness, has its own majestic beauty and must be embraced as a valid emotion, not pushed down as an abnormality. |
