When the sun rose I saw you walking over the horizon When the sun rose You came to me and I held you to me chest When the sun rose You told me it was best To leave When the sun rose You were happy, young And healthy When the sun rose I joined you on your journey To the point of no return When the sun rose When the sun set I noticed you were fading When the sun set I knew I had no time left When the sun set You fell to the floor When the sun set You couldn’t move at all When the sun set You told me to go on When the sun set I told you you’d be alright I told you you’d survive the night When the sun set When the night came You lay by the fire When the night came You started to fade more and more When the night came You told me to be strong You told me it wouldn’t be long When the night came You finally faded away When the night came When the sun rose When the sun set When the night came Twenty four hours can take a life Ruin a life Bring a life When the night came When the sun set When the sun rose Sadness, like happiness, has its own majestic beauty and must be embraced as a valid emotion, not pushed down as an abnormality. |
