“Are you okay?” No I’m not I’m drowning in the pressure That I put on myself “Oh, everything’s fine!” “Are you alright?” No I’m not I feel like I’m on an island Alone and desolate I have to stay Because I put myself there “I told you, I’m okay!” “Honey, what’s wrong?” Everything I keep going around in the Same circles Of pain “Absolutely nothing!” “Are you crying?” Yes But you should See what it’s like On the inside “No, just my allergies!” “Do you need help?” YES If only you knew How much help I need “No, I’m fine thank you!” “How are you?” Not good… I’m spiralling back to my Old ways And I’m scared “I’m doing well!” “How’s life?” If only you knew How horrible life Is right now… “Good!” Q&A with Madelyn Question and Answer Question and Answer Question and Lies Sadness, like happiness, has its own majestic beauty and must be embraced as a valid emotion, not pushed down as an abnormality. |

Wow, baby girl sounds like you need a hug. Brilliant and I like how sneakily some of the stanzas rhyme with the questions/answers. I've also used 'conversational bits' in my work which, I know it sounds desperate but I'd love you to check out. I'm so impressed with your writing well done!
