To think you actually cared.
I can't believe that I tried.
You never had me in your intentions.
How could you have lied?

I gave you so much.
I let you have your way.
To make me think you wanted me...
You just threw my heart away.

Why did you lead me on?
When you knew this would be.
Do you know how this makes me feel?
Do you know what you do to me?!

So take his hand, not mine.
Walk away from your only chance.
A brisk step away from my heart.
Never again for you will it dance.

You just snuffed out my life.
Blew out the fire of my soul.
Without you there is no flame there.
My heart hardened to coal.

All I ever wanted,
Was to have your heart in my own.
My friend, my lover, my husband, my savior.
But you just stripped me to the bone.

Why do I sacrifice for you?
What could I possibly gain?
Without your loving arms around me,
You are shunning me into a life of pain.

I think that this is very very well done. It is clear and expressive, and moves me as the reader to truly sympathize with the perspective of the writers subject. Thank you.
