I didn’t want to play the prince
Or to sing that sappy love song

Didn’t want to dance with
The birds and the bees

Didn’t want to run from
The capricious trees

I wanted into the fairytale
I wanted into the life

I wanted to hear you forever
To smile and keep you from strife

Just a dwarf
That’s all I’ll be

Just a dwarf
Is all you’ll see

So read me into your fairytale
Dance to my working song

Hi Ho
hi ho
heads high and off we go

Discipline is remembering what you want.

I really enjoyed this piece. I think that one of the challenges of writing, though, is to endeavor to say some of the these things in different ways from the ordinary. But all in all it was a really good poem. Thanks!
