Lingering in Pain

I stare into the loneliness of my soul
Wondering how I came to be here
Where all I once knew is no more

Peace nestles into my heart
And even though I know all will be well
I can hardly bear the strain

I pray for your wellbeing
Even though you despise me
I feel dead every day you hurt

My secret tears grace my private moments
When he's not looking, not feeling
Grief I know I've caused

I feel desperation, a need for love
Human arms tight around my shaking shoulders
But there is no one here to hold me

How can I face the rise of sorrow
Encompassing my fragile frame?
I pray and hope that I may give way to sleep

Restless my soul fights the flesh
For what, I do not know
Someone, somewhere, do you hear me?

Is my pain a pain I must bear alone?
Or is there a comfort in love I can find?
I hope and pray it is so

But my hope is lost
Love,
You are not there

amazing! i loved it, though it is somber. i can really relate to this poem.
