I'm happy to say I actually like this one. And I hope you do to. See Glass One single shard of sea glass Sits in the palm of hand I can hear the waves in it As they crash to meet the land Its weary sand worn edges Curve to meet my wrist They grin into my skin As I curl my hand to fist I think I see my future Beneath the gritty sheen Which warps the lines and cracks In a ragged, endless seam Splintered green and blue and grey Twist together in the light Tar black sea weed and sea foam Clash in flawless spite One single shard of sea glass Sits in the palm of hand But when I take it to my lips I find it tastes really rather bland. |

Hello, Octave~ This is Amaryllis, from the other poetry boards.. now I`m no teenager (it`s been many a moon since I saw anything-teen! heh).. but I happened to pop over here, and read this lovely gem, and had to comment! ![]() This is very good writing- I see such talent; a natural ear for the euphony of words.. such music, and you have chosen fresh, engaging imagery as well. Great job here.. and I surely hope you continue writing.. it is your gift! ~A |

Wow, I love it! It just flowed off my lips with ease and then left me speechless! Amazing work! "When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car" - Unknown |

Thank you, both of you, very much! (: I was rather pleased with this one, I have to admit. |
