He had the softest hands I swear i'd ever felt, The brownest of all eyes That made my own just melt. With passioned lust leading us Our desires came undone, And in the darkness of the night Our bodies moved as one. Days grew into weeks Then came the thought of you, well at first it sure did scare me and i wished it was untrue. But then i felt a flutter Echoeing deep inside, It synced straight to my heartbeat And erased the tears i'd cried. I didn't think it possible To love someone i'd never met But i knew already i'd die for you; Give up everything without regret. I'd waited with anticipation Dreaming of what you'd be like; your laugh, your eyes, your dimpled cheeks, Would we be anything alike? But just as i'd felt you flutter On that warm summers day In the darkness of the night, I felt you slip away. Inside this exterior, over which the eye might have roved there was the record of a pulsing life, which had learnt too well for its years – Thomas Har |
