All I hear is “Blah blah blah.” The words are jumbled in my head, jumping round like bouncy-balls, the aftershocks of what they said. A high-pitched buzzing penetrates the mumbled mass; conglomerates. I grab the sound, the one clear line; a fishy to the tasty bait. I cling and pry, I try to climb the single thread of sanity, but all the voices pull me down, with poison, lies, profanity. Noise is falling through the cracks. Sounds and meanings lost to me. Every single person talks and adds to the cacophony. All I hear is “Blah blah blah.” and no gets the fact that I don’t get the things they say to me; don’t hear them ask the angry “Why?” All I hear is “Blah blah blah.” The sluggish sounds that don’t reflect the words they say. All I can do is wait for sound to reconnect. Nothing is more painful than realizing he meant everything to you, but you meant nothing to him. (Unknown) |
