Splash all the colors! Bright gold and blue! And paint them on the canvas sky. Just sling the paint to make the birds That gently glide into the sun. Brush soft the scene with earth-browned hands To raise the groaning trees and set The green leaves swaying with the tips Of your lime-soaked fingers, bright with life. Oh kiss the grass with your strawberry lips And breathe the flowers from the soil. Call songs to the birds and make them sing In bursts of cheerful yellow sound. Take your brush and tickle the river To make it laugh until it's blue, And flick your hair to slick the air With blotches of orange and butterfly gold. Now take a moment, let it dry And gaze upon the world you've made Born into being by brush's breath And all from your heart and a few bright colors! ~Taylor And as each player moves their piece, confident and tall They forget that they can move themselves, in the greatest game of all |

Amazing write from such a talented poet!!! I have a question! How long did it take you to write this? And do you revise and edit your poems or do they just come out great the first time? “All bad poetry springs from genuine feeling.”--Oscar Wilde |

Thanks! Hey Free! I write poems straight out. This one took I think 20 minutes. I don't usually do a lot of revision but it depends on the poem. Its difficult for me to just write a poem on demand, but if I get inspired by something or try to write about a feeling I have then it usually comes straight out. Thanks for the interest! =) And as each player moves their piece, confident and tall |

Wow, I could never do that. I use to write my poems in 10 to 30 min, and everybody thought they were so good, and then I actually learned more about poetry and realized my poems were horrible, haha. Now it takes me, usually, weeks to finish a poem. “All bad poetry springs from genuine feeling.”--Oscar Wilde |
