hey guys i know i haven't posted in so long, i just haven't had any inspiration whatsoever! this piece isn't really my best, but enjoy Cast them Judgmental eyes from me You haven’t any idea where I’ve been Don’t speak out against me When you haven’t seen what I’ve seen How can you sit there and say That this life I lead is wrong? When you’re the one that got me here After neglecting me this long Just go back to that pipe That you so dearly adore I’ll fight these battles on my own Like I always did before Because truth be told You were never really there Even when I came to you With me deepest secrets to share I never got a childhood I grew up way to fast Because I was trying to be a mother To the daughters you looked past So cast them judgmental eyes from me and ask yourself where you’ve been while your family grew up without you and saw things they shouldn’t have seen. Inside this exterior, over which the eye might have roved there was the record of a pulsing life, which had learnt too well for its years – Thomas Har [This message has been edited by Leanne <3 (03-15-2010 02:45 AM).] |

Nobody should grow up like this. I feel this and for you, hopefully this isn't as much real as metaphorical. Either way, well done Leanne. |

"I never got a childhood I grew up way to fast Because I was trying to be a mother To the daughters you looked past" Man, do I know how that feels. (well minus the daughters. I had brothers. heh. Anyway..) This is a really nice poem. I kinda want to see you try to use more imagery in your poems. But its just a thought. Keep writing. Wish I could find love.. But all I find these days are superficial fish in shallow waters. |
