not an unfamiliar sound
though I can't place the face

I know the impression
of a heavy step

a quickened heart
in 4/4 time

I have seen the glistening
of moonlight on cold steel

how it cuts through dark nights
...with surgical precision

warm and thick
flowing in rivers

egyptian cotton
pooled and rumpled

a soft breeze wafting
over it's edge

a stifled cry
a brief ecstasy

then darkness
grows darker still

at last...
she has come home to me

...just bein' Bluesy

You killed her to bring her home to you? How utterly romantic. Well crafted tale of blood lust that strains to permeate a PG-13 rating.

eww!

To call oneself a poet is a vain remark indeed. After you're dead, let others eulogize you as such if they feel you are worthy.
