The eyes follow me
street to street
I run
The darkness holds me
I am not comforted
I fear
Fear drives me
Faster deeper dread city
I hurt
Cities eat those like me
The lost innocents
I dread
The teeth of my city
Its inevitable betrayal
I feel
Blood tainted breath
on my damp collar
I Run
I cannot escape
I cannot hide
I twist
alley by alley
my city stalks me
I end
Dark night, blood red
My city feeds.
I dream
As my city dreams
My last breath lingers
I remember
As my city remembers
My last breath released.

To take a lot of pain,
take a lot of pain
Love is like a cloud,
holds a lot of rain

I like now you compared the city to vampires,it's a clever write and it reads well
