Did I pass your test?
Did I relate to your views?
Did I give into your opinions?
Did I pick, did I choose?

Did I make you agree?
Did I suppress my thoughts?
Did I do everything for you to accept me?

No, you never did smile at me.
Never did your mind once pause.

You always saw my affects, but never my cause.
Yet, my life was a struggle.
Insane, shame and pain.
You saw what you wanted.
You dis-regarded the pride in the little things I had gained.

I never had much, not a dime to spare.
But I always touched others.
They needed me, they needed someone to care.

You never saw these things, so deep inside.
Engulfed in your selfishness, choking on your pride.
Ashamed;
You will never find the true meaning
In that soul you hide.
An empty shell, a fake smile,
Is the only true friend by your side.
