-- I would just like to quickly mention that this is my relationship with God. I have nothing against religion or the people that belong to it. I do think that God is really to people who need him, but for me it just harmed me. I do not wish to offend, I know religion is touchy but please read it through my eyes and know I wish absolutly no offense.-- I can blame you. That's the thing. I can hate you. And I do. Unconditional love, what the hell? If you loved me... I'd be happy. I can't trust you. That I know. I can't believe in you. And I don't. Watching over me, then where were you? If you watched over me... I'd be safe. I can reject you. That I'm sure. I can forget you. And I will. Created me, are you sick? If you made me... You are twisted. |

It's easy to appreciate your take on God. He seems to work well with some while not for others. It's all in how we wish to perceive God. If we ask him to relieve our pain and it doesn't go away, he loses a few faith points. If we pray for our children, friends and others that they walk unharmed and they fall prey, then a few more points are lost and so on until we no longer believe or have any faith points left to award. Some believe that no one has suffered as Jesus did and that he did it for everyone but himself and that our reward would come later if we just drew strength from his sufferings and persevere. It's also said that he makes no burden for us that's too heavy to carry. We shall see. ...just bein' Bluesy |

Well done poet a subject few dare to touch - most all have felt this way but few have the pen to express it. You are a true poet. |
