I'm fine, she smiles, her heart about to burst. Not with hope, nor love, nor pride, nor joy. But pain, pain and fear and hate and anger. But she smiles, and says she is fine, and they listen to her, but never hear her. They do no hear the beg, the pled, the cry for help. With a smile she claims she is fine, even though she is tired, and used, and burned up, and done. I'm fine, she defends, no longer trying to make them hear. No, she tries to convince herself now. A tear falls, and another follows, and she sniffs, and she chokes. I'm fine, she murmurs. I'm fine, she cries. I'm fine, and the next day, well-- she states she is fine. Because she wants to smile, and think she is fine. |

Love this. A lot of people, especially girls, can relate to these feelings. I have had them. ·´~`·»Garapan«·´~`· "Look! Crumbs on his jacketses... Heeee took it!" |
