A single tear stains your porcelain cheek As you draw away Your soft cherry lips tremble As your heart withers within your breast Memories of twilight paradises and gentle morning embraces Flash before your burning eyes Ocean eyes haunted forever By all that should have been So when I beseech you to call out my name Reply with a despairing glance When I beg you to hold me Just walk away But bear a portion of my heart always As I shall bear yours A secret place forever kept sacred Where pure water flows On the seashore I espy the dreadful void under the tides |

Again, a lovely poem, and I would like to think that each of us has a space in our hearts where pure water flows. |
