When the world ends
there is happiness
joy
love
sorrow all mixed to one
for everyone looks the other way.

When the world ends
people will be working
sleeping
relaxing
and doing nothing at all
for they all look the other way.

When the world ends
people will be sad
happy
grateful
but most of all oblivious
for they all look the other way.

Except for a few
trying to educate the rest
not being oblivious to this
they feel happiness and sadness
for they did not look the other way.

Good writing. You should post more, Elric.

Please, let us hope the world here is divinely sustained and allowed to exist - and be appreciated, in ways that improve the qualty of life for all - for quire awhile yet.

Thoreau observed that "The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation." Such is not the poet's fate, lol.

*Doesn't look away.....The end of the world is frightening, but if it comes to that - all we can do is hope for the best, and be with the ones who matter.
