The time passes by me alone, as kept upon the metronome. There is a small corner of my room, surrounded complete in fading gloom. I as of now, seek out no more. It's all passing along, and I will endure. I can seek and then find, or find in not seeking. Like a handful of sand, all my memories seeping. It feels as though I am buried, in a blizzard of my bitter mistakes. I try to dig out of this avalanche, beating low odds, and winning high stakes. I see friendly faces pass by me,and recall conversations from yore. Love deep and true seems beyond reach, like waves falling away from the shore. The reverberation moves away quickly, like the change of a smile to a frown. Then in justified brevity, my sole company, begins winding down. Good use of alliteration in this line - "I am buried, in a blizzard of my bitter mistakes." |
