Margo of Mayfair In the city of the Sultan - his subjects fear, despise and ridicule him. Putrefied cadavers lie everywhere. They people the land and bathe in the midday sun because the Sultan is neither tidy nor adverse to shedding blood. The Sultan is tattooed sporadically, artlessly. Glow worms fornicate in the green and red ink that make up his vular chest. In a neighboring land of plenty the Sultan traded a cow for a special goose. The goose ruled the gander gobbling up herring and kingfish as the other birds watched and starved. But no golden egg was forthcoming. The Sultan defrauded - killed and ate the goose as his subjects snickered. |
