How do I explain that when I begin to feel sad my world turns a deep shade of blue; It results from the memories which return now and then bringing pain and depression back too. You've given me sunshine and laughter and love and shelter in your tender embrace; But in spite of that love and laughter and light I can't bring a smile to my face. The darkness around and the sadness I feel seem to seep right into my soul; I fight what I feel but the sadness persists it's always the one in control. It waits in the shadows til the darkness decends to banish all traces of light; To confront me when I'm the most vulnerable, when I'm scared and too tired to fight. I try to resist but I keep sliding down slipping deeper inside of some hole; Losing a little bit more of myself every day til only emptiness remains in my soul. Angel |

Lovely closing lines. 'I feel like an animal, and I don't think that I get it. But one day I'll see you around.' |
