Broken, bruised and bleeding; lonely;
Tells me I’m his one and only.
Loves me close and holds me tightly.
As he lies to me each night he

Comes to me;
Takes a little part of my soul.
Breaking me;
‘cause he knows that I know

that I need him more than I need air.
He’s my savior; my black nightmare.
His dark love is what I’m craving.
As I die he’s desecrating
me.

Every time
he comes and tortures
All my fight
is lost inside me.

As he holds
And as he whispers,
I can’t help
But love it
When he lies to me.

I can't copy part of this and use it as a quote to say how powerful I think this poem is. I do think it's powerful - and I, too, have been there. I never want to go back - but ...
