The acrid stench denies subtle darkness its right to hide the beast in its black folds. The sickly red glow reflecting softly from brick walls speaks loudly of hunger. A shuddering rasp escapes As weight is thrown against The iron barred door. A glint behind fierce eye Shows poor restraint As the were paces. The full moon slowly sets On its monthly cage. -*-*- |
