Packing Boxes

In boxes packed tightly my life
Hanging around in rooms
Dead silent
No murmur
No sound
Like tombstones to the past

Coffins waiting to be moved
To a future up ahead
Soundless
No whisper
No resonance
Monuments of what’s been

Caskets with you and me inside
Ghosts cramped tightly
No sigh
No timbre
No moan
Coffers of old treasures

To a graveyard they’ll go
Stacked up, left alone
Noiseless
No moaning
No carping
A memorial of us.

Glad yoiu like the poem Loveyourself.
My partner walked in one day after 18 years and said it was over even though at the weekend she said she stilled loved me and was happy, oh how hearts change, this was 7 months ago and have not heard from her since, the pain still rides in my heart.
