I hold you close against my chest Your pictures worth a thousand words And now that you're gone A thousand words left unspoken He holds me close against his chest It never did feel right, to feel for someone else And now that you're gone I think I'm better off alone. I couldn't help but hold my breath When I saw your lifeless body Your skin was pale And I knew you were gone Never did I feel so cold. And when I feel there's nothing left I close my eyes and feel you against me I forget that you're gone And I hear you whisper in my ear "I love you" 997 words left unspoken I sware I won't stop listening. You write about the pain of loneliness well. I hope someday your heart will heal even thou the memory of your loss will always remain. I hope things get better for you...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |

Moving, I got a lump in my chest while reading. Each time I read I find something new. I feel the end most of all. "And when I feel there's nothing left I close my eyes and feel you against me I forget that you're gone And I hear you whisper in my ear "I love you" 997 words left unspoken I sware I won't stop listening." |
