I couldn't show you what I meant Just like I couldn't tell you how I felt Or possibly the other way around In circles, you left me in dust Searing memories onto my skin The burning brings relief, release Maybe another day to come will carry a lesson to be learned If only we could see A world up in flames and a pile of ash symbolizing boredom Simplifying violence Into an equation solved by lack of evidence A bedroom filled with empty bottles and broken glass And the only way out is through the tiny window That you locked with a key called trust Thrown away with every emotion never felt Your so-called life January 3rd 2009 Emily Shives |

I love this poem. It is confusing at parts, but I think it adds to the poem. I love the feeling of hurt and loss of hope in this poem. Very good. |

Concur with the above statement, and add that it is actually nice to encounter a little seeming confusion with such a subject. It adds to the poem for me, somehow. ·´~`·»Garapan«·´~`· "Look! Crumbs on his jacketses... Heeee took it!" |
