I placed my faith,
Not in Love,
But in You.
Love is so fragile,
So easily swept back
Into the nothingness
It was.
So like the blue sky
That clouds must cover,
Or the crimson buds
That frosts may sere...
So I placed my faith,
Not in Love,
But in You.
You were so loving,
So sure,and so tender.
You were the wall
Built around me;
You were a deeply rooted tree
No wind of adversity
Could shatter.
You were to me
As Goddess...
Now crumbled is the wall,
And dead the tree.
Of what use Faith
Or life to me?
