If it’s not there and you need it,
just make it up out of straw
or day dreams stand it up, laquer it,
adding at will glitter and highlights,
ribbons, a bow or a spot light,
a blue light, a ray of sunlight
breaking through clouds, or a rainbow’s
shimmering arch and then let
it rest quietly in your heart
and mind’s eye like the bluebells
that grow in my heart in my cold
world of snow.

I know you haven't asked for constructive critiques but this is not the best I've read from you. Unfortunately the words like "rainbow" followed by "bow's" just make it very choppy to read.

It sounds like you might be describing the use of imagination to motivate one's self. That's an admirable skill to have.

Oops, that rainbow bow was a typo. Thanks for spotting it, Kevin. Yep, when you bottom out, use any trick that keeps you going. One of my secret dreams, to walk barefoot through a woodland glade covered with bluebells.
