It's midnight. The desert is full of snakes. Through all the physical abuse, I let My mind escape. The beginning was so grim... A child with no limbs. Growin' up in savage streets, To eat, this orphan had to find out what a father was. For I am no one. My soul is a bold one, so hell disowned none. No light. I feel as though poems are my greatest asset. I can still feel without sight. Paused for a minute to bleed. A scene forever I'll remember. Paramedics drove slowly to the hospital. Concerned voices became distant. God help me battle these Demons. Alone and cold this isn’t the summer season. No Utilities, a little sister freezing. I'll protect her from anything screaming give me everything. I Gotta Make It, all that she will ever be... Depends on my success!!! Metal detectors going off. My life just isn’t simple. I'm a Soldier soaked in blood. A flawless masterpiece of mistakes.. Was when I was raised with guns in my infancy. - If I cant bend Heaven, I shall move Hell - [This message has been edited by Def-init (04-04-2009 10:30 AM).] |

I loved the line " A flawless masterpiece of mistakes.. ". That stood out for me and I find the entire poem full of lines that stood out, so great job! |
