"Fade-Birds Take Flight" Walking away through the window Down the road chilling wind Blown away Thunder strikes Echoing Freezing Rain Creates this stain Bleeding stops the fight Enter Night Where we can't reunite The moonlight dies As we all fade out of sight We watch as the birds Take Flight Just to let you know what it means, my dad almost left my mom last night and this is about him leaving and how I thought it would be without him... |

A good first post Quail. I like the immediacy of your delivery. I remember all too clearly the day at ten years old when my father left as I sat in tears by the front door for four hours. Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told. |

The loss of a parent is devasting, even thinking about it can bring panic and stress. Whatever happens, it was meant to be, and out of our control, but more importantly, not your fault. Hang in there. Carpe' Diem, |
