Life's Run

I ask for silence in my mind
to calm the weary and forelorn.
The feelings rise before the day,
unworthy each in dressing worn.

Shadowing the times with you
when chest of treasures filled the mind.
No questions asked, no answers' need,
no better place was there to find.

I feel the Autumn of my life,
blue the moon that once held dreams.
Those lessons (life) ahead to teach
unthreads the calm of comfort seams.

Why the more of less to send
of message not in want to know?
Where is there? And  when is now?
And what is next to learn, to sow?

Voices still invade the mind,
those thoughts forever nagging one.
Looking out from this within
the fog needs lifting from this run.

Naked One, as per usual your poetry is rife with memorable lines to quote.

"I feel the Autumn of my life,
blue the moon that once held dreams."

May the fog lift and let your dreams come shining into reality.

Your melancholic voice is tenderly  expressed here, dear Maureen.
May clarity come as a precious gift.

Hi Maureen, "Blue the Moon that once held dreams." Wow, isn't that the truth.
Peace.

what a great line [and one I can 'relate' to all to well !]:

"I feel the Autumn of my life,
blue the moon that once held dreams."

applause for this introspective; reflective and emotive penning!

Maureen~
Your words have a calming effect and still,
they leave me breathless.

Endearing and heartfelt!!
