A bird on a branch, near the tree top. Wind started blowing and he feared he'd drop. He looked down at the ground and it gave him a fright. So he took to the sky... to escape the height. The frog and the turtle, sitting on a log. It began to rain on the turtle and frog. Their minds got disturbed They started to fret And jumped in the pond... so they wouldn't get wet. Jane loved Bobby and Bob loved Jane But Jane couldn't bare anymore pain. Giving her heart made her scared. It only got broken, every time she dared. So she pulled back and pushed him away. Lived all alone 'til her dying day. Cried day and night 'til they laid her in the dirt. Wrapped in sorrow... so she wouldn't get hurt. *** |

This is so profound but with that wonderful sense of humor I enjoy so much in your poetry, Uriah. Ida |

Yo XOx Uriah xOX, This poem says a lot. That's the way it is with Janes. When will they ever learn? Bobby |

Uriah~ Your write made me think that perhaps poor Jane took on the persona of the turtle ... withdrawing into her shell~ How sad~ Wisdom in your ink this day dear poet~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

This was wonderful Larry and when reading slipped off the tongue with ease... the second verse made me smile at the thought M |
