He didn’t help me then or now to swim the waters of my mind or even stand upon the bank in an applauding pose. So I swam as best I could to come at last to rest in the waters of my mind because there’s no escaping mind no matter style or form. Round and round, gurgle, plop; it’s air that makes a bubble but never long enough inside to inflate a mind. But it’s great fun, don’t you think swimming like a little child to always come on out more spent and bedraggled than first was thought possible in those waters of a mind? They sometimes rage and roar and flood conformity and sometimes look like innocence in their purity but always they’re available to entice the unsuspecting. He didn’t help me then or now but if I can’t swim, I’m dead! Helen / 8 August 2008 |

Thanks RDB and Marge. I did originally have something in there about treading water which is most of the time but it got lost. Perhaps because we really do have to either swim or die. Still, treading water can be comfortable even if unsatisfactory for those who choose not to swim. Love Helen |

Helen, The mind is a mystical place. A very interesting place, beyond words. Only you have the power to control yours. On those waters, create a boat, float on the endless rivers. be at peace of the rapid waters. ARCTIC WIND |

Yo dear Honeybunch, Welcome to the sink or swim school of life. This is very descriptive, and I like it. Bobby |

AC - Yes, the mind is more mystical than even I can imagine. Boats are manmade contraptions and I don't think they'll be of much use in the long term but I appreciate the suggestion. "Boat", however, can be anything that helps to stay afloat in those most unpredictable waters of the mind. Bobby - Thank you for popping in. I surely am in the "sink or swim of life" as we all are. I perhaps sink and rise more than most because I'm still looking for the calm waters. I will find them! Helen |

Yes, it may be man-made Helen, But it can be anything you want it to be. You are the one who creates your stable ground, Not other people. Like you agreed, it is a mystical place. make it yours p.s..... A raft could work ARCTIC WIND |

AC - Maybe a raft made out of the thoughts we think will ensure smooth sailing in the future not only for ourselves but for others as well. I'm busy working on it but every now and again I have an off day. Helen |

this made me smile and pained me at the same time: :Round and round, gurgle, plop; it’s air that makes a bubble but never long enough inside to inflate a mind." wow. I do believe this just made me a fan-- |

Thank you, Karen. I guess life isn't life without the opposites but we can choose to focus on smiles and not pain. We've just got to go through the process of deciding. In a few months time I shall need a "fan" because I don't do well in the summer but I really do appreciate the "fan" of which you speak. Thank you. Love Helen |
