They cry for water silently before the spring is here and it’s like they know to be in need before the time. I know how thirsty feels but unlike flowers, weeds, I know this time is my time to wait it out patiently. And patience brings me many things I do not really want but I preen and flutter eyelashes because maybe it is meant to fill the gap and chasm between this world and the next. I know of gaps and chasms; they’re holes of deep dismay that suck up need and passion and float patience to the surface as a fillip for the needy. But patience is as patience does and patience is a foolish thing to think the rest of life can be a thirsty flower, weed. I gave them water, yes, I did; let them not in patience suffer when love can change the seasons and fast forward to the spring. Yet I see and know they’re struggling from years of sheer neglect and I feel again the rise of patience to the mind. Soon the spring and then summer will bloom a testimony to me for knowing what was needed before the time was right! Helen / 6 August 2008 |

As do flowers thirstily drink of spring waters, so may your own soul be sated. Hugs and love, Linda |

Thanks Linda and Fade. I reckon the soul is sated but 'tis the human part that suffers in the grip of patience. Nothing to be done though except be ... patient! |

compassionate wisdom... and sometimes those two do not hold hands, but it's a joy to behold when they do. I truly enjoyed this, H. |
