Math (to me, Kushal Poddar) ----------------------------- The crooning wood-pigeons break the thread to announce by their void silence that someone is coming. The boy hops in. his summer vacation of failing arithmetic and geometry is lost amid green hedges and bushes. With eyes shut and earth is the movements imprinted in red drape, he dreams of the world in terms of millions of digits, forms, complex equations. A gray kite sits on the raftered roof of a distant memory. Suddenly the boy finds that he is solving life. Merry Christmas to my friends clever talks delay friendship! |

'Hai' Ku! Your poetry is uniquely distinctive and highly intriguing. You take my mind to places it has never been before. You show me things that my eyes have never seen before. You make me feel things that I have not felt before. You are an amazing poet! I always appreciate seeing the world through your mind, eyes, and heart. May this coming new year be a joyful one for you and your loved ones. With love 'n hugs, Linda |

A delight, dear Ku!! ... for Ku, and for all those who can relate! I think this is a true gem and I so love the conclusion. It's indeed those lessons of life that make us move ahead on the Path. A keeper, absolutely! Love and hugs. And my best wishes too for the New Year, dear Poet! Margherita |

Well if that's what it takes to solve life then so be it..Excellent way to deliver your theme from a different perspective. Nice work! Eric |

Hi Poddarku, so many things to tell here , I failed too an exam a long time ago and spent a desastrous summer among numbers, difficult when the sun shines and it is summer and the youth, etc...For nothing... I failed in september for 0.2 points under 10...Something else catchs me in your poem, your reference to maths as an answer of the universe, I think you are right and may be we are not clever enough to see the mathematical form of everything (planets, genes, chimical models, perhaps life itself) .... Thank you for the beautiful and thoughtful poem. yann |
