Damp Dreams You bring damp gray moments with you, sometimes even streams that become swift oceans when you come to remember me as I delve into some plane’s dream world while you change form and voice, offering up some trick of hilarious situations were I to share them; then serious moments and sometimes instilling an immobility of heart leaving me anxious at times; Should I heed these dreams? You come to me in thought-filled forms of friend, father, mentor, lover, brother and morph into whomever I might need in any given moment of this, my somewhat seemingly nightly fantasies which come on with ever more frequency. And I believe in spirits Tell me, why is it that these reveries with the clearest of blue waters are the ones that concern me most? Have you ever seen water run uphill, along grass, like small, wonderfully silvery splashing fish, with no wind behind them and no reason to do so, other than the waters are pooling out of some unreasonable situation; does one call this dream: conflict? And when I am thus so conflicted Is it really your arms, and your voice that I hear when the words, “I’ll catch you, come to me,” echo in my dreaming ear? © KRJ 23 July, 2008 |

I felt all those mixed emotions along with you every step of the dream - and was left somewhat shaken, and I feel as though I have aged in the reading - still haven't left the dream enough to extricate myself from it and see it in its entirety - but then that is exactly the effect, I believe, that you wanted to create, Karilea. Sissie....I believe in dreams, especially your dreams, because I have reason to believe you dream from a place I can't get to myself. It's a magic place that knows more than our dimension of time and space and it always tells the truth. It is only from our waking state that we try to understand. The dreamer always knows.  |
