My Christmas Message to Him The sky is dark and the trees are swaying; is this how the holiday will be? I am wrapping the presents, the ribbon is fraying, a sadness is coming over me. I gave you a promise; I told you I'd try, to be happy and cheerful for all. The lights on the tree, are foreign to me as my mood continues to fall. My wish is my secret; noone will see the painful loneliness while we're apart. So many Christmases of longing to be close to you is taking a toll on my heart. All I want from dear Santa; I know that he knows is to be in your arms by the fire. My eyes are closed shut; your face I can see, falsely gets my hopes only higher. I am posting this message; Love, are you there to read what I'm trying to say? Lots of kisses I'm sending; I miss you terribly. Have a very Merry Christmas Day! I love you. YaH |

A beautiful verse. May your wishes be granted to you. And I wish you a merry Christmas to boot. Mark |

I think there may be many people feeling as you do over the holidays, you expressed it well in this poem. It brought the soldiers in Iraq to my mind, and how lonely their families must be without them. |
