Pages from dreams she has not seen
---------------------------------
The perfumed smokes permeate the evening globe.
She secularly observes her feet going numb
while walking upon the moist grass of fall. The lean
eucalyptuses are gathering to form
communities of their own by the side of  roads,
this exotic land. The dusk with atoms of dust
and splinters of smoky winter is gushing
towards the touring lady. The hill people
with their collection of magical herbs
have come down to make sales for the day and eager
to be back before night grows, the businessman
with dull eyes trying to buy them cheap are silhouettes.
Is not a page from her dreams that is burning
and men, women from the twilight gathering around?
The falling leaves swing to the tune of wind.
Villagers look up at her, a fairy, foreign.
They want to caution her that walking with bare feet
is not so healthy in this season of shadows.
She can not have heard them of course, it is her dream
and she knows now she’ll turn a new leaf of her dream-book.
Her hotel is another dream with wheat colored stones,
walls and midnight blue draperies floating in void.
A stair case to carry her to the room and…
She opens her eyes to see a hand is touching
                           as if it cares.
