That peace sublime
as quiet as snowfall
upon snow let me go
to that place I knew
where the birds sang
for me in summer and winter
Let me go there
in the mists of April’s
early blooming Let a flower
find root in my heart
as I lay a rose upon her breast

O remembrance
how sweet the cruelty
of necessities dark song
to make me cry these
joyful bitter tears

The holidays of December---auspicious moments for thoughts about mothers, and the remembrance of mothers.

Yo Art,

The thought is definitely there.  I'd throw in some strophe breaks, and Standard English language punctuation.

"to make me cry these
joyful bitter tears"

The sweet/the sour, the happy/sad, and memories are all combined.

Thank you for sharing.

Thanks to each of you friends and poets! Sorry I didn't acknowledge your kind and thoughtful contributions earlier (away for the holidays).
I missed being here and look forward to getting back in the swing of things poetic.

A very Happy New Year holiday to all!
