Remind me I must make a list
of the things I can't forget
imbedded deeply in my brain
so deep my mouth denies the pain
as "instinct" kicks the shudder-switch
I am sideblinded by design --
the pounding peen of hammerhead
haunting me with vagaries
fleeting visuals I see
like those ghosts in Disneyworld
appearing in my twirling seat.

Pop a top and crack a joke
before I curse these fraught-drenched sheets
twisted into questions marks
an interrogatory poke:
Remember what you dream
keystroked,
into my waking manuscript...

I wrestle the indifference
from the pillows I detest
since they don't know
or they just won't
concede the subtle differences
between my tears and sweat.

I wish I could turn off that damn switch and get some sleep, too, Karen. You always know how to say it.

so unfair
that world onto itself
that we get to peep
like mere voyeurs
as its having its way
with our psyche

damn demons, begone...................

Sheets twisted into question marks...WOW!

You're a genius in your own way, serenity gal. Thank God we DO forget some things....

I've been neglecting to read what you've had to say for a bit...

Just because I don't write is a poor excuse not to read.

and this is something I'm glad to have read

You know, I'll buy your book.  I will and the next one and the next one.  I'll be your groupie.  Write it and I'll be there, wallet in hand.

You go deep under the smoky blue clouds.

You are a precious weaver, be it deeply blue or otherwise. Good thing you're addicted to your relief valve.......

Take care

You are too much and write too little.
