      The Blizzard (#2)

Somber slate-grey clouds
encase these frigid white
   hills
in endless mountain snow,
as this bitter blizzard
closes all far horizons
to the schemes of men.

Only a wailing winter
   wind
speaks on the true nature
   of thingsā€¦
4 billion years of such
   tempests
rippling through time.

Yo Secondhanddreampoet,

This is nice work.  It's probably fairly accurate age-wise.

This is so true in more ways than one.

The wailing wind can sound so lonely.  Well-written, Bruce.  It sounds so cold - I can see the snow pelting the windows.
