In One Lifetime ………My Mother………My Brother! You were so young to be a Mother when Death stole you away! Even with two Toddler’s God Wouldn’t Let you stay! What about us? Imagine how empty as it drifted away? Even too small to learn how to pray! Left with no memory of your voice. For that too was taken of course. What about your touch? God should have known it’s a Child’s only crutch! Your absence was all we could feel. That’s all we knew. So this had to be real! We were both robbed of saying goodbye. Years soon followed with sobs and cries. Two broken kids tried to fly, but profound lack of guidance led us deeply crippled in silence! Just when we thought we formed an alliance Even though it came at a very slow rate. Addiction would come to serve it’s same fate. As he just became a new young father yet again, help came too late! Now all that’s left! Do you Wonder? A Sister far too young to bury her brother, Death came and stole from me my only brother! His voice and his touch, my only remaining crutch. His absence I feel, this is actually real. I sob and I cry with no wings left to fly. He did leave me guidance but, sadly it crippled me back to absolute silence!……………… Written By Stacey-Lynne [This message has been edited by hopelessly (12-19-2008 12:33 PM).] |

This is so very sad, your words cry on this page of sorrow. This should not happen to anyone, but alas it does. You can share your thoughts here my friend, PIP is a place of friends so "welcome", don't hold it within for too long, let some escape and others will help. Well written hopelssly, I hope your world shows more sunshine than cloud, be strong and share your gift. Take care. Rick |

We welcome you to PIP. Many open hearts and arms will be here to enfold you. May you find a measure of peace within these walls. Remember me with a smile on your face, or please don't remember me at all. |

sadness abounds, but so does profundity...excellent write, well laid out in leaving one to ponder...found this phrase so compelling: "He did leave me guidance but, sadly it crippled me back to absolute silence!………………" ...good to hear your voice, and that is a good sign |

Thank-You all for such a warm welcome it being my first Time Here! Thanks for reading my Poem, and absorbing my pain through words that have shattered my life, As my brother and I "Had only Just Begun"! Also I'd like to add..... Happy that many of you can articulate the way it's written, but more importantly using your gift as one of the many abilities to feel it when the words are being read!! It's only worth writing if your reader's can understand you! Merry Christmas Everyone, and if you have a brother hold him extra tight....mine never came home That Christmas Night! Scott.....
