Sultry Voice of Fog

Quivered lips, astound the cleave of uncertainty
Moved forward, to speak in the moan of time
Hearing with gentle kind, the tiptoe of night
Parted by moist breath, the chill of observance
Instinct guides the sounds of stillness
Even, as the whine of wooden walls echoes
Throaty and guttural, as it makes landfall
Whispering French to the low lights
As if stars where the jewels of an empire
Vast, the heavens part, to expose their beauty
Lifting off the veil of moist air,
Witness to delight the balmy breezes
Set to ice, on a winter whim

it is all beautiful, but these words give credence to your title:

"As if stars where the jewels of an empire
Vast, the heavens part, to expose their beauty
Lifting off the veil of moist air,
Witness to delight the balmy breezes
Set to ice, on a winter whim"

In my mind I can ice skate.

thank you for skating with me.

It is different for every reader.  That is talent.

I am always sad when that beautiful veil does lift though it reveals the clarity
of a more tangible beauty
