I believe there is a heaven And think there is a hell I ponder both and question But still no one can tell I wonder when the end will come And if there'll be a friend As age does come, so do the thoughts As well as some pretend No one knows the truth that waits We’re in a line of twist and turn All doing just the best we can And on the way do slowly learn We know if we are good or bad We know if God or devil smiles We ponder what we’ve seen and had And how we’ve walked our many miles We walk with God and sin for hell We’re humans and that’s what we do It’s knowing and the difference tell To then which gate will let us through A grain of time, a tear drop fell A life that’s lived, then peace or hell A stair case up, or one below Either way, one day we’ll know Each day we live the best we can Be right or wrong, just who can say Our time a test or maybe not That is what we'll know some day So worry not this day of fate For it will take its course with we Enjoy this life before too late Let’s live to live, both you and me |
