Wintry dreams ------------------------------- The wintry river, lazy, dawdling as if pregnant it is, with floating pieces of logs, foliages, bodies. I bend down at it with a hand clasping the bough which has been aiming to touch the water and failing forever forever. The nippy smell enters and spreads through nerves to soul, to limbs and refreshed inside wants to come out once more. It means I shall cry. Cry over a monsoon deadly river that takes a brother of mine. Takes him in. I can remember the guilt, pathos and fingers soundlessly pointing the stream… I can see midst the white chunks of ice, the dark spots are really bad dreams and soon to be blanketed under a blissful layer of winter. © 2008 - All Rights Reserved Kushal Poddar clever talks delay friendship! |

Really impressive work, dear Kushal! The souls of the dead have surfaced into the light and your soul, though touched by deep sadness, can now know the peace of the compassionate white blanket reflecting the sun. Beautiful Poet, I send you my love, Margherita "Love is the One who masters all things; |

Kushal, I hope the lost brother was either fictional or a metaphor for an unknown fellow man. Even that is very sad, but I can't bear the thought that he could have been your real flesh and blood brother. A beautiful poem, as always. - Owl |

Oh, dear! That line you used again below the title meant that the poem couldn't be saved using the Print option. - Owl |
