Dear God, as we near the end of another day,
we thank you for blessings you sent our way.

Thank you for this house, a home
that keeps us close and warm,
for the love that lives within it
that can weather any storm.

We thank you for the time
you have given us to share.
We pray to wake tomorrow
that we may spread your care,
touching other people's lives
and teaching others prayer.

As we lay beside each other
and close our eyes to sleep,
we pray for you to strengthen us
to continue to sow and reap.

We thank you for this gift of life,
for the forgiveness of our sin,
for the blessing of each other's love,
in Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

Yo Dixie girl, there goes my prayer
About ol' Long John being there.
Alas, too late I see you've gone
and replaced me with another John!

I'm happy for you, Dixie - you've had some rough times.

there is never a prayer that is not beautiful...however, this one is especially lovely (methinks, through the vision of experience)

Amen!

Thank you, dear Dixie, for sharing this beautiful prayer poem!

Gratitude is the most powerful prayer we can ever express and you do it in such a touching way.

Love and hugs.

May your thankful heart be blessed many times over. It would appear that you have found yourself a loving home. May your lost and restless days be all behind you.

God bless your "Home Sweet Home",
