you were the faster car in skin
but could go slower without momentum
with your heart partly undone
perhaps just a button or so unusual

and we didn't have our names on
or the need for words either
mutual attraction of skin endings
and how they felt smeared together

like the saliva on your glass
when you needed a drink quickly
and didn't have time for ladylike
as if I would mind you said

before you showed me your animals
in our silloettes on the walls
and we made new gods out of sinners
singing hymns with our vulgar words

just before tomorrow let me know you

Yikes - the images this poem brings out.  Great similes and a really great tease for imagining more.  Super write!
