Wintry Wind twirls in the sky With a skirt of swirling leaves Grey-bearded Cloud lumbers beside Tears falling as he grieves He mourns the loss of Sunshine’s light Among his once light step From his dark path, those rays take flight With a glorious pirouette Wind carries his tears to land Upon dry, barren Ground Parched Ground extends a thankful hand New life will soon abound Soon sorrow’s load is lightened Cloud lifts his weary head The day begins to brighten Lady Wind returns to bed Old Man Cloud, now white as snow Smiles joyfully back at Sun Ground flourishes down below New life has just begun Cloud does not wear silver clothes He’s either light or dark But there’s hope in both of those ‘Sun’s rays’ or ‘Rainbow’s arc’ |
