Staring with empty eyes
at the place you used
to fill
Unable to mourn because
how can I mourn
with a heart left empty
by your absence
Shadows of shadows
all I can bear
to feel...to taste
of the
memories we made

Ice on the river where we played
Ice in my heart
How easy to let the pain
take me away
how easy...how sad

To know love so sweet
so tender
and now its gone
like mist on the river
mist in my mind
fogging the pain

As I cast your memory
to the river where we played
if only in my mind.

So sad, yet so hauntingly beautiful, Paula.
I felt evey word of your pain.
