As is the case with all people from cold, northern, climates, Bones will do anything to stay alive. He can’t go about picking fruit off the trees anytime he feels hungry. In the winter, if he doesn’t have a comfy coat to keep him warm, he’ll freeze to death. Bones has northern desperation. Bobby |

A cold like that is hard to warm with a coat too. It's a cold that comes from inside when one sees that some have so many coats that they can match them with their shorts or panties, while others (like Bones) have none. The cold sometimes can be driven in deep by a lack of sharing by others. Is it mandatory to share with those like Bones? Of course not, but it makes everyone feel a little warmer. Alison |

I echo what Alison said in her reply. I have a coat that is so warm that it could weather an ice storm in the Himalayas! I call it my "Yeti Coat"! ~ and I look like a yeti when I'm wearing it! ~ but I don't give a Fig Newton! It keeps old man winter out! ~ But I'd give it to your friend to keep his bones from being chilled! Brrr ~ and a nourishing pot of beef and barley soup by a warm hearth. Linda |

Bobby I think the best thing to do is send Bones back down south where he won't freeze to death. We certainly don't want to see a death in the family. Take care. Lindsay |

Thanks LindsayP, I'm not sure how Bones would make out in the South. He's a Philadelphia boy. When I was a kid, I visited with relatives in the South. They were genuinely appalled by my filthy language. They were relieved when I went back home. You can take the boy out of Philadelphia, but you'll never take the Philadelphia out of the boy. Bobby |
